R&D Campus within high-rise and high-dense urban circle

area: 300,000 square feet

status: Design

The site of R&D campus is right at the center of a 1-hour traveling circle of three skyscraper cities. They are connected by a 34 mi (55 kilometer)  sea crossing bridge system.

Instead of competing height, design seeks to reconcile horizontal and vertical, leisure and speed, and to share the sight of wetland landscape through campus.

What’s the impression to live in a high-rise city? Is it framed by windows we’ re able to access. And how much of the accessibility depends on where we live: the penthouse of skyscraper, the basement or the low-rise slum.

The site is a neighbor to massive water body, white sands and exuberant landscape. The project discusses an alternative design to distribute the accessibility of views toward surrounding estuary landscape, and to restrain height in the highly sense planning site.

Space of Corridor, light shell, opening stepped plaza, and stepped internal space, provides more facets for the site to invite view, air, light and public actives.
